Today it's a
Field, Tomorrow a Sports Park!
The Wheatland
Athletic Association has been actively working for the
last 5 years on acquiring land and developing a regional
sports park for use by Wheatland participants.
Davis Park is the result of that work. It's a
25-acre park scheduled to have three lighted baseball
fields and 4 soccer fields. The park is located on
127th Street. 4 miles West of Highway 59 in Plainfield
and is projected to open in 2008. These state of the art
fields will be used by Wheatland program participants in
baseball, softball and soccer.
If you are
interested in becoming involved in helping to develop or
finance this park please call Larry Gentile
630-978-2855. Wheatland is a non-profit
organization started 29 years ago to provide sports
programs for kids. Today we have over 14,000
yearly participants in the Naperville, Aurora, Oswego &
Plainfield area.
